Solstice Arts Centre, Navan, Co. Meath, provides regular events & activities for children including Kids theatre, art, dance, music and drama events. Regular activities include a youth theatre, ballet class, parent & toddler group, and speech & drama class. Regular childrens summer camps, workshops and free learning and participation events are also programmed each season.

FREE SCREENING: Spy Kids (2001)

The children of two of the greatest secret agents the world has ever known must take matters into their own hands and work to save their kidnapped parents from danger. This free screening runs in conjunction with our visual arts exhibition Surveillé·e·s which is on display in our Level 3 Gallery until 1 March.

Using instrument, song, colour, and texture, Eamon will explore and encourage playful engagements between all participants. Musical elements include gongs, chimes, bells, ocean drums, simple percussion, and soothing singing.


Sing to Me - Kyle Riley

The Sing to Me tour features songs from his 2018 release by the same title, some traditional children’s music and a couple of tunes for the adults. It’s an hour of engaging and entertaining folk/rock music, sure to get the audience moving. For your under 8’s, your rock toddlers and the little boppers in between, it’s fun for the whole family!

Fantasia is the third Disney animated feature film consisting of eight animated segments set to pieces of classical music conducted by Leopold Stokowski. This free screening runs in conjunction with our visual arts exhibition MUSIC +MAKER which on display in our Level 3 Gallery from 9 March.


Design & Build a Musical Instrument

In this fun and creative workshop, participants are invited to explore the connections between art, technology and music. Inspired by our exhibition MUSIC +MAKER, our amazing educators ‘Make Create Innovate’ will assist you in designing and building a musical instrument, that is as much a work of art as a sound generator. Participants will engage the subjects of science, technology, engineering, art and maths.
