Cruinniú na Cásca Meath

A Blackbird’s Song - Family Creative Day

Monday 17 April, 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm

FREE EVENTS

To celebrate Cruinniú na Cásca, Meath Local Authorities and Solstice Arts Centre are hosting a free family creative day inspired by the work of “poet of the blackbird,” Francis Ledwidge on Easter Monday.

Solstice will transform into a bird nest of children’s creative and learning zones, drawn from the natural and enchanted worlds of the poet’s home place of Slane, County Meath. Activities include Egg and Spoon, a perfect gentle introduction to the magic of theatre for children aged 1 – 5 years, drawing workshops with Don Conroy from RTE’s The Den, parent & child dance workshops with Ella Clarke, gigantic bird-nest building, egg painting and lots more.
