Redmond O'Toole (8-String Guitar)

Redmond O’Toole has been hailed as one of the most interesting classical guitarists of his generation, renowned for his atmospheric performances and dazzling virtuosity. This concert exploits the full range of his unusual 8-string guitar and “cello” style technique with transcriptions of J.S. Bach and Haydn before visiting Mexico and Spain for the music of Rodrigo and Ponce, and ending with Carlo Domeniconi’s masterwork Koyunbaba.

This phenomenal show from Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice recounts Jesus’ last days through the eyes of Judas. The poise and skill of Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger ensured the safety of all 155 passengers and crew. With a setlist made up of covers and their own original songs, they have played some high profile gigs including Electric Picnic and Vicar Street (with Declan O Rourke).
